Can I have laser eye surgery done before joining the Navy?

I want to be an EOD tech in the Navy but I need to have a minimum of 20/200 eyesight which my eyes might be slightly worse than and I was wondering if I could get laser eye surgery done before I join up?

i was a seal officer and a few of my guys had lazer surgery. most were happy but some complained it frigged up their night vision. so don’t do it until after you are all trained and the navy will pay for it.

Yes you can but if you have high ASVAB scores the Navy will pay for the surgery. Ask your local recruiter for more details

Hey Douche bag Frank: You’re supposedly a SEAL Officer but you don’t know how spell with proper grammer. I think you’ve been watching too much G.I. Jane. I bet you didn’t even pass the ASVAB. Your score was so low the recruiter gave you a pistol and said go ahead and shoot yourself in the head because the first thing thats going to happen is you getting shot at boot camp when they use live ammunition.
