I’ve had serious acne since i was about 13 and am now 19 and have finally started using proactiv on my face and it seems to be helping alot. The only problem is i had a lot of acne on my back and some on chest but most of the pimples are gone i just have a whole back full of scars and small acne and its really emberrassing like i wont even take my shirt off and i dont even look at it myself. My doc mentioned laser surgery for that and even my face. Has anyone had this done or know anything about it? Does it only work for some people? Whats the most it would cost with or without insurance.? How long would i be in pain from the surgery and what would it look like after it was done. Would it be obvious that i had it done. I want my back and face to be the same complection as the rest of my body. And yea ive tried everything else and have always kept myself very clean and researched everything. Has anyone ever had this problem this severe. Thanks for any advice anyone can give me.
I had laser treatment back in high school to get rid of a birthmark I had on my forehead. I had thick sheepdog bangs most of my childhood to cover up this horrendous birthmark. The laser treatment was amazing! I was supposed to go back for a 2nd treatment b/c the doctor had said that one would not be enough, but I never did go back and I’m happy to say that I haven’t worn bangs in at least 10 years and NObody who knows me now knows that I ever had anything on my forehead!
BTW- The laser treatment is not very painful. It feels like little static shocks. After it’s done, you will just need to cover the area with bacitracin or neosporin for about a week afterwards.
