  13. charismaticwhite says:

    @skittlesyumnum yes

  14. ddsurvivor11 says:

Wrong! U have to spread the wax in the OPPOSITE direction of the hair growth and rip it off IN THE DIRECTION of hair growth. Plus, there is no need for strips NOR applicator!

Plus, plus the mixture is 2 cups of sugar, 1/4 cup of lemon juice, and 1/4 cup of water.

  15. skittlesyumnum says:

does it hurt when you take it off?

  21. mcloven83 says:

    That girl is hot!

  22. TheseCleverConvicts says:

Actually… you should use cornstarch or another light powder instead of talcum powder (also called baby powder!). Talc has been connected (ok… tenuously connected. but why take chances?) with ovarian cancer, which is bad bad bad news. So try to avoid it if you can! Plus cornstarch works just as well :

  23. wHoPaHz says:

    @FUCKTHIS360 lol

  24. purpliciousrawr says:

@DaNaturelle can u do this without the talcom powder?

  25. SladddSCREAM says:

do you have to use powder?

  26. oogyboogysnoogy says:

Theres a video of a girl like you, but her video says that if you have dark hair on light skin laser is better. And even though i am brown, my hair is black?
    SO what do you reccomend.

  27. oogyboogysnoogy says:

Thank you vert much. I know you said laser isnt perminent, but, i wa slooking up prices and it was WAY cheaper, even after adding up how many time you need to go back.
As a 17 year old, who has a very hairy belly, and i am 6’2. How many session of 30min would it take you to funny clean my entire belly hair. Mind you it cover the whole belly, not passing over to the back, and not going over the chest.
How many sessions estimate would it take you?

  28. juliaprudence says:

    @oogyboogysnoogy
Besides the fact that I say in my video “laser is NOT permanent hair removal” your right it can hurt your skin as it attacks pigment. On the other hand electrolysis will work and shouldn’t hurt your skin. If your hair is curly you may need to have galvanic or blend method of electrolysis, just ask the electrologist what method they use.

  29. oogyboogysnoogy says:

I have a question. I have been debating Laser vs Electrolysis. Now I am a Borwn person and i was doing research and i heard laser could hurt my pigment.
I want to know if Electrolysis is better for me?

  30. hollisterlover0522 says:

Hey, I am a 14 yr old girl with dark long arm hair. I was wondering if there is a age limit for electrolysis? Also, how can you find the right, good-trained electrologist in my area? I live in Maryland and I don’t know where to go to for? Do i have to pay for the interview? thanx.

  31. juliaprudence says:

After 10 or 12 treatments your hair will start coming back about 6-12 months later but you should have about 20% of your hair permanently gone and 80% will return. It will also make electrolysis more difficult after the hair returns.

  32. ExxtraPersonal says:

Question:does ALL the hair come back on your face after laser hair removal or does just SOME of it come back?? Just wanted to make sure about that. Thanks. I have DARK hair by the way. Thanks again.

  33. juliaprudence says:

Home electrolysis are a waste of money. They are not strong enough and you need to be trained. You ca n damage your skin. Just remember the old saying “if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is”!!!

  34. sg2oo3 says:

Can you use at home electolysis kits? What do you need to look for? which ones are most effective? Thanks.

  35. greenhawk46 says:

    nicely presented xxxx Jim

  36. juliaprudence says:

    1. electrolysis works on all hair colors

    2. electrolysis won’t affect tattoos

  37. RevilerRed says:

    2 other questions…

    1. Is electrolysis able to remove blonde hair or does it only target dark pigment like laser?

    2. Can electrolysis remove hair over tattooed areas without removing the actual ink like laser?

  38. juliaprudence says:

No, it will take longer to have your hair removed with electrolysis. Electrolysis is less painful but there is a lot more of it. when you have your hair removed by laser it will start growing back in 6-12 months. once your hair is removed by electrolysis it is gone permanently.

  39. Aldenif says:

So basically If I just forget about removing my facial hair with laser and just go straight with electrolysis, will my hair be permanently removed for life at the same time being less painful than laser removal????

  40. RevilerRed says:

    Ah, good advice.

    Thanks for answering my question.
    :)

  41. juliaprudence says:

Your right, it does get expensive. What I recommend to my transgender patients is to remove their facial hair with electrolysis and have the body hair done with laser. The reason is that because body hair is much thinner and weaker laser is more effective. After about 10-15 sessions, you may get 50 long term to permanent hair removal and on the legs from that point get an epilator and use it once every week or 2 and the legs will look fine.

  42. RevilerRed says:

This was a very informative video, nice to actually hear it from a professional.

The only real downside I see with electrolysis is the sheer cost of getting large areas of body hair removed.

I’ve heard it can be several thousand just to do someone’s calves. Is this correct?

  43. Starlightbeauty1225 says:

Thank Julia, I’ll see what I’ll find, God Bless! ^_-

  44. juliaprudence says:

Electrolysis doesn’t hurt more after laser but it makes the electrologists job harder. I’ve never used the term standard electrolysis though I believe a person using that term is probably referring to galvanic electrolysis which hurts a lot more than thermolysis which I do, ti’s also a lot slower. Unless your hair grows very curly your better off with thermolysis.

  45. Starlightbeauty1225 says:

Hi Julia, I had a question. Does electrolysis hurt a lot after you’ve done sessions of laser hair removal? I live in an area that where electrolysis is not available but laser is. I’ll probably be moving more up north to a place where they specialize in electrolysis. I would like to know how painful it can be after numerous sessions of laser. By the way , what is “standard electrolysis”? is it the same as regular electroylsis?

  46. rosiepatch says:

wonderful video, I am about to make a decision and this has helped me…ELECTROLYSIS.

  47. cherylk211 says:

    Julia,

Could you get in touch to discuss a consultation? Thanks. Cheryl

  48. juliaprudence says:

That is hard to answer. Each jolt of laser is more painful but a laser session is shorter than each electrolysis session. In all it will be way less pain if you start off with electrolysis because if you do laser you will still have to do electrolysis after the hair removed by laser grows back. Remember LASER IS NOT PERMANENT YOUR HAIR WILL GROW BACK, ELECTROLYSIS IS PERMANENT!!!

  49. Aldenif says:

Is electrolosys very painful for facial hair removal compared to laser hair removal???

  50. juliaprudence says:

Laser is usually more efficient on body hair than on facial hair but if it didn’t work at all the only thing you can do is electrolysis. As I said in my video, electrolysis is the only permanent form of hair removal!
