I would like to get eye laser surgery because I hate wearing my glasses since I broke my nose a few years ago and now they slide down my nose every few seconds. I don’t like much wearing contacts because I can’t see well with them on plus they dry out my eyes a lot. I’ve tried getting different prescriptions, but I can’t see nearly as well with them as I do with my glasses, but now my glasses are making me see blurry and I dont’ know what’s wrong with them. It’s not like they’re dirty or greasy.
I called in to ask for the average price of laser surgery and they told me all these things that the surgery depends on, and that I need a consultation so they can tell me how much it would be from there, but I don’t have time to go to a consultation. I just want to know the average cost of it so I can start saving $$$ for it!
I am looking into the possibility of getting laser eye surgery. I went for a consultation at the Assil Eye Institute a couple of years ago, but I decided to wait. I am thinking about getting it in a couple of months.
What was your experience like?
Was is painful or just uncomfortable?
Are you happy with your decision?
Any advice?
Thanks

I recently won a raffle for a free laser surgery, they are sending me a certificate for 00. I’m pretty sure that it is going to cost more than that for both eyes. I know is is more expensive the worse your vision. I have -5.15 apx. in both eyes, no Astigmitism. Can anyone tell me how much it cost you? Please no, ”… I’d guess its about $xxx…” and I’m not going to fly to India to have it done. Thanks in advance to all of you who help.
I know to research the place and check it out before I commit to anything. I’ve looked online for costs, but everything I find says I’d need a consultation. I have one scheduled with this place on July 12th, and I’d like to have an idea before going in. I just want a ball- park number from people who have had it done.

I am not worried about the cost and I have recently set up a consultation with a cosmetic physician to see what they can offers for treatment. I am just looking to see what other information I can gather, the searches seem to be cluttered with ads for products like pro-active and other medications that I are of little interest to me. Some people say Accutane is the best, but it seems that is the may be the best medication and not the best treatment.
I may have asked in the wrong place, although I appreciate the fast responses. I am looking for scientifically proven remedy’s not so much homemade solutions. Pain and negative side effects are only a small consideration. I am more interested in surgical solutions, but I will look into the recommended products.
I have hard contact lenses which I wear everyday, and have been doing so for the last 5/6 years, and I am considering gettting laser eye surgery. I know I would have to stop wearing my contacts for a few weeks before even going for a consultation but I can’t remember the exact time can anyone tell me how many weeks it is?
Also is it possible to wear soft contact lenses for a certain amount of weeks and then my glasses and then get the consultation done?
is laser skin surgery consider plastic surgery?? i asked my doctor and he did not respond. when you go to the doctor for consultation, you want to ask all the questions you can about the laser procedure. but the weird thing is that the doctor never really answered my questions. He sounded very fishy. he did not explain the risk and complications within the procedure. also i asked the doctor if laser skin surgery is the same as plastic surgery, and did not answer my question.
