I’m 14 and I’m trying to get contacts the school year starts. My glasses get in the way. Kids that were in my classes have had contacts and they were only 12/13 at the time.
And if i’m able to get contacts would I be allowed to pick the color I want? cause I have a stigmatism in both eyes.
And if contacts cant fix my stigmatism could I get laser surgery at this age?

I’m a 25 year old guy and had glasses for the past 15 years and I’m thinking about getting laser eye surgery because I’m tired of wearing glasses. Is it worth it? How much does it costs? How long does it take for the laser eye surgery? Does it hurt?

My mom got laser eye surgery so she’s far sighted but now she has to wear glasses if she’s trying to read.

I am really considering getting laser eye surgery. Does anyone know of any potential side affects i might encounter? My health insurance kicks in sometime this month so i would like as much information as possible. It would be nice not to have to deal with glasses and even better not to have to deal with contacts (something i don’t even want to fool with!)

i have been wearing glasses since 3rd grade and my vision keeps detriorating every year. now thanks to god it is finally settled. I want to go for laser eye surgery to remove glasses. i need advice form people who have gone through same surgery as i have heard rumours of loss of sight, vision blurred etc. and i am very anxious. Please tell me what is the surgery like, is it painful? does your vision gets blurred or lost after some time? help.

Can I be disqualified from joining the Air Force if I get the laser corrective eye surgery. My vision is kinda bad and I’d rather get the laser surgery than wear those big goofy glasses that the military issues. I know certain surgeries can disqualify a person, but I wouldn’t think that this type of surgery would DQ anyone.

Hey. 5 years ago, i noticed i was having trouble reading the board in the classroom. Over the last few years, my eyes have got worse and worse, and while my glasses are fantastic, they were supposed to be temp and i now need to wear them all the time. Having them on and off is causing headaches, especially since i work at a comp desk, and i need to lean in really close to be able to even see the comp screen! For those that have had laser surgery (i have mild short sight, meaning reading is NO problem but street signs are near impossible) how much did it cost, is there only one session, how is your eye sight now…? ANY info, this will be a huge thing for me as i’ll need to save for it and it better be worth it! )

I’m thinking about ditching my pair of glasses. If I were to go to Lasik for example and have the treatment, is it possible that a few years from then my vision can go back the way it was? Btw, im about 5.3 on both sides and it’s pretty stable for a year or two now. All serious answers will be appreciated. Thank you.
So will the regression after two years be a linear pattern or a exponential one?

I am near sighted. I wear glasses but mostly conrtact lenses. Several years ago, the eye doctor told me I was a good candidate for laser eye surgery. I am interested in having the procedure done one day.

What should I expect? What advice/tips can you give for someone considering such surgery?

Oh, of course. For any surgical procedure I would find the best of the best. I don’t care about cost or having to travel….

In the future most people will probably have laser eye surgery instead of wearing glasses, so does that mean an end to opticians?

I have glasses and contacts. When i wear my glasses then put my contacts on everything seems to look bigger. And I want to eventually get laser eye surgery. Is everything really bigger. Has anyone went from glasses to contacts to laser eye surgery? And if so after you got it done did you see the same out of your glasses or your contacts?
