I’m sixteen and went to the Ophthalmologist today and have interocular pressure in my eyes of 19 and 21. They say I may have Glaucoma, since my father and my mothers mother had it. I want to to hear from someone who has had laser eye surgery before, what do they do to you? Do they like secure your head in some type of clamp. Are you conscious? Do you feel any type of sensation or pain on your eye?
I was told by my dad that back in the day (about 20 years ago) they were not allowed to get laser eye surgery because no one knew the side effects at the time. So he had to wait until he was out of the CG to get his.

I’m scheduled for laser eye surgery, but I saw a disclaimer saying that you couldn’t do military or some law enforcement if you’ve had laser eye surgery, does anyone know what all the rules on this actually are? I checked the navy site and couldn’t find anything, I may have overlooked it though. I’m specifically concerned with navy, not so much other fields though I guess if you know them you can tell for them too.
I’m 18 and have been wearing contact lenses for the past 2 years. Today I’m told by the doctor that I’m allergic to contact lens and will need to stop wearing them. I wish to have laser eye surgery next year (the doctor said I’m suitable for it).

Is it safe and are you allowed to get laser eye surgery while pregnant? I’d sure like to be able to get up for those late night feedings without groping blindly for my glasses.
I want to have laser eye surgery, but i found out from a friend that you could have a layer of your eye tear away and you’ll be left with nothing but excruciatingly blurry vision. Is this true? I was planning on joining the Marine Corps without glasses or contacts. If there are any other side effects please don’t forget to mention them, thank you!
