I used to cut and burn myself. (i was an idiot) the point is i have stopped. i have about 10 scars. 6 more from burning i stopped hurting myself in the summer of 09. the point is i really want these to go away or to be almost invisible. right now im using mederma scar cream and its to early to see if it actually works.

so i was thinking id give the cream some time and see a dermatologist this tuesday. ive heard that dermabrasions could actually work making the scars smaller and less noticeable.

another thing was getting a tattoo to cover them or actually getting a tattoo directly over the scar the same color as my skin instead of a design.

maybe even something more extreme as laser surgery.

any help would be appreciated on helping me get rid of these scars.

So I have a flat mole on the top of my head that is concealed by my hair. Unfortunately, I am a guy and am sick of having long hair and wish to cut it, but I am self-conscious about doing so because of this flat mole I have.

So, I am considering having Laser Surgery done. I have a couple of questions concerning the issue.

First, is there scarring? I have been reading up on it and it seems most of the time there is never scarring as long as you don’t pick at the scab. Is there anything that will help heal it even better without scars?

I only need one removed, so will this cost in the 50-100 dollar range?

What are typical results and healing time?

I have got a scar by accident on face. I thought of taking laser treatment to remove scars. But doctor said, since muscles had been damaged, laser treatment wont work. My uncle suggested for plastic surgery. Will this work? Is there any good hospitals in India for that?

Not only do I have scars from acne all over my cheeks, but I also have other scars from when I tried to clear the acne with some Chinese method that useda hot needle and burned the white spots. They promised that everything would clear up and instead it just created more scars.

I search this all the time and all I get is laser surgery. Can you believe that? No, I want a more natural medicine. Does anyone know of any home methods or suggestions on how to clear up acne (and no, not the obvious one)? And how about all those scars that leaves with major slef-esteem? hi I suffer from a lot of those red marks left from spots
Some are raised and red , some are very deep into the skin and red ( almost like a permanent flat spot ) and some are just light red marks
What can I do to treat these scars without getting expensive cosmetic surgery like laser etc.

I have a lot of mostly whitish scars all over my chest and arms. Whenever I get hot or sweat or workout, they get very red. I have tried microdermabrasion and tried a chemical peel once. Neither really worked. I tried mederma scar cream and even tried this neutrogina ‘scar patch’. Nothing seems to be working. I would prefer to not have to go through the effort and expense of laser surgery. Does anyone know of any effective methods of acne scar removal (for the arms and chest)? I would be very happy if I could even decrease how bad they look (not necessarily totally get rid of). PLEASE SOMEONE HELP!

Should i get a chemical peel done?

I dont know what to do anymore, i have alot of scars and im getting more and more and more stressed, and cannot deal with it. It is really screwing up my life, to a point where i dont wanna leave the house, or be social with anyone. It has also made me feel suicidal, and before something does happen i would really like to get this fixed. I am 14, do dermatologists do chemical peeling on 14 year olds? or laser surgery to remove scars/blemishes? I am considering this and so has my family.

I get that you can’t completely get rid of them. I guess they are like permanent scars. But thats just like saying that you cant get rid of scars. Its true you cant get rid of them but you can make them less visible. Just like acne. Just like anything. It takes time. But what rly makes me mad is that I’ve seen ppl ask questions like these on yahoo answers and the majority of ppl that answered says you can’t get rid of them and they stay with you forever. That can’t be true. Its just like saying once you have aids you can’t get "rid of them". Its just that they haven’t found the cure yet. Ppl on here are so lazy answering the questions and dont seem to be thorough in explaination which rly irritates me. so let me get to the point. What are some ways that can help stress marks be less VISIBILE and help them deminish?
