Question by bri.5639: Why can’t you wax between laser hair removal treatments?
I’ll be going to the pool a week and a half after my brazillian laser hair treatment. It’ll be before my hair falls out so I need to get hair free somehow. I’d rather wax than shave but I read this is a bad idea. Is this true…and why?
clarification: I got the laser hair removal done already but the hair hasn’t fallen out yet and I need to go to the pool.

because you need to have hair in the follicles for laser hair to work

Dr. Braun performs Botox Injections on a client at Vancouver Laser & Skin Care Skin. Botox Injections temporarily reduces or eliminates frown lines, forehead creases, crow’s feet near the eyes and thick bands in the neck. By temporarily blocking the nerve impulses, the muscles that cause wrinkles relax, giving the skin a smoother, more refreshed appearance.

pfft you think you have it bad im 14 and i have acne scars. and i started getting acne when i was 12. it wasnt just regular acne either it was sistic acne which WILL give you bad scars.

  6. tehgrunt3 says:

Why is does it cost this much to get it done?? i mean really….i bet that the laser does NOT cost much to use (not to build, to use) and the treatment could probably be done by a 10 year old. i think these people are are just really greedy.

Call South Coast MedSpa direct at 877-650-7267 to find out about current promo pricing.

  8. BENrookie17 says:

how much does it cost per session???

  9. BarnHwk says:

Wow, that definitely is a lot of money. I’d give it time, still. The red may have gone away, but that doesn’t mean your skin isn’t finished healing. I found, from when I got the less-invasive procedure, that the difference was noticeable about 2 to 3 months after… when the skin started to grow back in and plump up. Let us know how it looks in another month (maybe take pics of yourself, for personal comparison).

  10. BarnHwk says:

Yes, so it looks like $1800 is the price then. The laser promoted here is called the Active FX Laser, which is a CO2 laser. I believe CO2 lasers are the most invasive to date and the most expensive, since they penetrate much deeper than other lasers. Did it hurt, Saultman? How long did it take for the red to go away?

  11. saultman says:

When I spoke with the doctor at SCMS he told me that if the first treatment doesn’t do anything don’t bother with anymore. They even made a double pass on my bad area and nothing! So,I don’t know why they state if the first treatment doesn’t work to have follow ups…:(

  12. saultman says:

Try 1800+ for this treatment there in SCMS.I had it done 1 month ago and think I wasted all my money, again!soooo fucking pissed!!!grrrrr

  13. juankr212 says:

i’m 16 and i have acne scars should i do this or not?

  14. BarnHwk says:

Oh, I also forgot to mention something. Depending on how bad the scars are, you may need about 3 treatments to see a good improvement. The more invasive procedures are around $2,000 (per treatment) and have a MUCH LONGER healing time.

  15. BarnHwk says:

This is less-invasive laser treatment, since it’s a MedSpa that’s doing it. I think the average cost is $600 per treatment. Prices in California may be slightly more. Call a medical day spa in your area and check it out.
